- From Siena: take the SS2 towards Florence. In Florence take the A1 towards Bologna, Barberino di Mugello exit
- From Lucca and Pistoia: take the A11 towards Florence, take the A1 towards Bologna, Barberino di Mugello exit
- From Livorno: head towards Florence, take the A1 towards Bologna, Barberino di Mugello exit
- From La Spezia: take the A12 towards Pisa, continue on the A11 towards Florence then take the A1 towards Bologna, Barberino di Mugello exit
